SUMMARY OF JOB FUNCTIONS

Oversees maintenance operations while ensuring compliance with company GMP, HACCP, CFIA, and safety standards.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or Millwright or Industrial Electrical License) is required.

· Refrigeration License (Class B) would be an asset.

· Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a similar position.

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

· Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE

· Ensuring an effective system is in place to maintain equipment compliance to HACCP, GMP and quality requirements.

· Working on automated equipment (PLCs, robotics, motors, hydraulics, pneumatic systems, electrical and refrigeration equipment) as needed.

· Technical knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical, Machining, Boiler, HVAC, Welding, and General Construction practices.

· Able to read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawing.

· Proven leadership, problem solving, coaching/mentoring, and training skills.

· Proven ability to handle conflict, align performance for success and initiate action.

· Must be team oriented and self-directed.

· Direct the maintenance and repair of an establishment's machinery, equipment, and electrical and mechanical systems.

· Develop and implement schedules and procedures for safety inspections and preventive maintenance programs.

· Oversee training and supervision of staff.

· Plan, organize and direct administrative services such as signage, cleaning, maintenance, parking, safety inspections, security, and snow removal.

· Other duties as required.
